Many companies nowadays advertise heavily about the benefits of filing for bankruptcy. They claim that all your debts will be wiped away and that you won't need to keep attending to the growing mountains of debt that have been accumulating under you and destroying your financial life.
Is this as common as it sounds? What these companies neglect to tell you is that declaring bankruptcy should be a last resort decision. If you've been considering an alternative solution to your financial troubles, contact a company like CuraDebt that will give advice on the many alternatives to bankruptcy that are frequently overlooked by everyday consumers plagued with the financial burdens of debt. I've actually been very curious about that myself. My fiance is in a massive amount of debt and despite the fact that I've been pushing for him to declare bankruptcy, everyone around me has been really pushing me NOT to tell him to do so.
I've basically heard that it goes on your financial "permanent record" and even after the 7 years, it'd still be difficult to buy a home, car or obtain credit for some Memphis patio furniture. :P Last edited by FicoKitteh : 04-27-2010 at 09:49 PM. |
