Default Glad to see a forum with this focus

Hi. I have been struggling myself to meet financial needs for my family for years, due to some medical and other special needs that have not been covered adequately by insurance. We have gotten into some serious debt, but as a result have learned quite a bit about how to manage our money and lives. I look forward to participating with others to see how we can help improve each others' financial lives.
One important consideration has been a willingness to ask for help. When someone is struggling financially and has not been able to reduce the debt, then there comes a time where nothing will get better unless something changes. How can we make changes if what we know doesn't work.
Family can help at times with one-time bail-outs or loans, but what we really need is accountability to someone who we will have to share our progress (or lack of) with and review what we're doing and not doing to get our finances under control.
Hope we can learn together and help one another to reduce debt and grow future wealth for ourselves and our families.
